Wayne Bishop

CEO of King & Shaxson Ethical Investing

After graduating from University of Central England in 1991 Wayne began his career at GNI London, broking fixed income options. In 1993 he was seconded to Frankfurt, as part of a small but successful team servicing European banks and fund managers across a range of derivative products. Wayne returned to London in 1997.

In April 2002 he joined Phillip Securities UK and took over Ethical Investment Management in September of that year. He introduced active asset allocation and a positive return mentality to then predominantly UK equity based portfolios. He became the Head of Investment Management in January 2003 and Director in September 2003.

Following a group restructuring in 2005 he moved to King & Shaxson Asset Management to enhance the Ethical business.

Harry Thompson

Portfolio Manager

Harry graduated from the University of Brighton in 2014 with a degree in Business and Finance and then immediately began his career at King & Shaxson, working on the Foreign Exchange and Derivatives desk. He joined the Ethical Fund Management team in October 2017 as a trainee fund manager and holds the CISI Investment Advice Diploma (securities). He now works alongside Wayne in the investment team and his passion for ethical investing is reflected in his private investments.

Craig Hart

Client Relationship Manager

Craig has 30 years’ experience of financial markets, covering various roles including Payments, Trade Finance and Money Markets & Foreign Exchange execution. Craig joined the Corporate Bond Dealing desk at King & Shaxson in May 2010, to assist clients with Fixed Income trade ideas and execution. Craig joined the Ethical Fund Management team in 2012 with a focus on the Platform proposition. He believes Investing in companies that are challenging and changing historic practices and making the world a better place. Like the rest of the team, the ideals of King & Shaxson Ethical mirror his personal investment philosophy.

Peter Thompson

Business Development Manager

Peter has over 16 years’ experience in B2B consultancy, with wide ranging experiences in both the investment and platform markets. He is a member of the PFS by diploma and also holds the IMC accreditation. He joined King & Shaxson Asset Management to help deliver our vision for the future and expand our client engagement through intermediaries.

Will Arnold

Will Arnold

Trainee Portfolio Manager

Will graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2020 with a degree in History. During his studies, he took particular interest in the roots of many social issues that our world faces today. He then spent some time working in a school before joining King & Shaxson Ethical as a trainee portfolio manager (June 2021). Through ethical investment he aims to act upon his desire to make a positive impact in society.

Ellie Raeburn

Ellie Raeburn

Trainee Portfolio Manager

Ellie graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2020 with a degree in Economics. Whilst studying she focussed on modules concerning social and environmental issues: choosing to do an empirical study on UK listed company female board representation for her dissertation. After spending a year teaching A-Level Economics in a school, she joined King & Shaxson Ethical as a trainee portfolio manager in September 2021. She hopes to continue to learn about ESG issues and ethical approaches to investing.

Sam Manning

Ethical Support

Sam started her career in 1997 where she worked in Group accounts as an account assistant for Tullett & Toyko Forex international limited. She changed her position in the company to central accounts team looking after the IT information, compiling costing and accounting for all the London office broking desks and departments. In 2003 she joined Phillips Securities (UK) Limited as an assistant management accountant. In 2005 when the company restructured, she took up a new role in settlements and her job role progressed to operations manager looking after the central service team and all ethical support queries.

Jared Inkster

Head of Compliance and Legal

Having graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in law and completed the Legal Practice Course, Jared joined King & Shaxson in March 2007. He began with a period working in Ethical Investment before joining the Operations department. In February 2009 Jared progressed into the Compliance team, and was made Head of Compliance & Legal in July 2012, where he has the responsibility for ensuring that all the ethical products of the group comply with both the Financial Services legislation and the published ethical policy of the Group.

Miranda Telfer

Chief Financial Officer

Miranda graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Mathematics and then went on to become a qualified chartered accountant working for Ernst & Young. Following this, Miranda spent 17 years working for various subsidiaries of Old Mutual wealth in various roles including Head of Finance, Risk and Governance. Miranda has been working for King and Shaxson for 5 years as Chief Financial Officer.

Liz Mahoney

Liz Mahoney

Head of Operations

Liz started her career in London working for Ove-Arup. A global architectural and engineering consultants. where she worked for 2 year as a member of the project costing team. In 1990 Liz moved to Tullett & Tokyo Forex International Limited, a global financial services group. During her 10 years at Tulletts Liz progressed from accounts clerk for the London-based business to part of the International accounts team, responsible for the consolidation of the Group’s accounts and preparation of annual accounts and statutory reporting.

In 2001 she joined Phillip Securities (UK) Limited as Management Accountant. In 2003 Liz became involved in the settlement side of the business and later became Operations Manager. In 2005, Phillip Securities (UK) Limited was subsumed into its sister company King & Shaxson Limited, where Liz’s role continues to encompass both accounting and the management of the operations department.
